BSc (Hons) Aeronautical Engineering

Course summary

View further details

As an aeronautical engineer you can expect to work in one of the range of job roles, in Design and Manufacturing, Avionics Systems Development, Aircraft Pilot, Structural Integrity, Aircraft Engine, or in Air Transport Management.

Your place of work might be in the United Kingdom, Europe or indeed anywhere in the world.

Our degree programme provides the learning experience necessary to enable you to specialise in any of these areas. You will use industry-standard computing and design facilities and apply mathematics and science to the solution of aerospace engineering problems.

You will develop a wealth of aerospace engineering knowledge and the skills of innovation, decision-making and leadership. Group projects provide opportunities for developing the skills of working with others and the final year project allows you to demonstrate your ability to research a subject of your choice in greater depth.
