Rising Starz talent show

Have you got the ‘X’ Factor? A Singing talent show is being broadcast from Farnborough College of Technology. The show, ‘Rising Starz’, will offer the opportunity for anyone over the age of 16, regardless of experience, to get noticed. The show will be broadcast on the Internet and on FM Radio and is attracting a lot of interest. The college has very strong links with Sky TV and has a fully operational industry standard TV Studio.

Tom Blount, the show’s Producer said ‘We are really excited by the interest that we are generating and are encouraging as many people as possible to apply’. Tom went on to explain that he wants to find the areas hidden talent, suggesting that people visit the website and apply online at www.risingstarz.co.uk

The first auditions will be taking place ‘X-Factor’ style in the FCOT TV Studio between 21st -23rd January and will be recorded for use within the live shows which go out, live, between 23rd and 27th March this year.

The show is the Final Year Major Project for a group of 15 3rd Year Degree Students, 6 of whom are spending two weeks at Sky TV from 24th January.

Jon Fowler who is a Sky TV Cameraman and Part Time lecturer at the college said ‘This is a very professional show and I have no doubt that anyone who gets involved will enjoy the experience and will end up with excellent show reel material or perhaps even be noticed by a talent scout’

Producer Tom Blount added ‘come along and have a go or tell your friends family and talented neighbours. Don’t be shy!’
