Meals

The college refectory provides food throughout the day for all students at reasonable costs. At least one hot main course is provided each day at a cost of only £2.60.

You may be eligible for free government funded meals if you are under 19 and you or your parent/carer receive any of the following:

  • Income support
  • Income based Jobseekers Allowance (ESA)
  • Income related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under part V1 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The Guaranteed Element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit) and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190, as assessed by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
  • Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit.
  • Universal Credit

How to Apply

In order to apply for free meals, students should complete the 16-19 Bursary Application Form.
