Complete your photography studies with our one-year top-up degree. This programme will enable you to ‘top-up’ your existing skills and qualifications into a full honours degree, if you have previously studied a HND or foundation degree in photography. This top-up degree starts each September and is awarded by the University of Surrey.

You will be taught through class-led technical and theoretical study. Over the duration of each module you will produce a visual response to a set brief that is backed up with written research and evaluation. As the course progresses greater emphasis is placed on you to build an independent visual language whilst at the same time placing a vocational context to work produced.
Being taught over two full days per week, the course also gives you more flexibility in balancing work or family commitments.
A wide range of assessment methods are used in this programme, which have been chosen to suit the subject material being taught. The assessment methods include a portfolio of practical work, production report, assessed coursework/assignments, formal assessment, formal examination, practical demonstrations, project reports and presentations.
