How will I be taught?

Students must achieve an 80% minimum attendance requirement and commit to self-directed study when preparing for assignments. The 11 weeks are not consecutive and college holidays are taken as indicated on the college website.

We hope that our classes will be face-to face teaching where possible. However, please note that due to the Coronavirus pandemic situation, as is the case in many colleges and universities, there may be the need at some point for classes to be taught on-line.  You will, therefore, need technology that can support the use of Microsoft Teams.

New Online Live option. We are also offering a new Online Live option, whereby students can attend the course remotely via Microsoft Teams, with compulsory face to face attendance for some sessions.  The same attendance rules of 80% apply.

What modules are covered?

Unit 1: The Marketing Concept

This unit explores the nature of marketing, its role within the organisation and how it contributes to company objectives. We investigate how customers buy and what influences customer behaviour across a range of contexts.

Unit 2: Analysis and Insight

This unit investigates options for gathering relevant marketing information in order to determine key factors and trends in the marketing environment and how they determine the shape of marketing plans.

Unit 3: Marketing Mix

This unit explains how to create, apply, and adapt the marketing mix to satisfy customer needs and business goals whilst differentiating the organisation from its competitors.  The marketing mix is a central concept to marketing and is investigated in depth across a number of different marketing contexts.
