The HND in Policing will give you:

  • The essential subject knowledge that you need to progress successfully into further study options or a route into the world of work
  • Content that is closely aligned with employer and higher education needs
  • Assessments that consider cognitive skills (what students know) along with affective and applied skills (respectively how they behave and what they can do)
  • A varied approach to assessment that supports progression to Level 6 (degree level)

Who is this programme for?

The HNC and HND in Policing are aimed at those who want to continue their education through applied learning. The courses provide a wide-ranging study of the police and are also designed for adult students who wish to pursue or advance their career in policing. As well as the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin the study of policing, these courses will give you experience of the breadth and depth of the sector, which will prepare you for further study or training.
