This training programme is intended for new or existing staff working on a construction site or commercial premises, installing dry finishes such as plasterboard and wall board to given specifications; fixed and joined together ready to receive decorative finishes.

How will I be assessed?

The NVQ Diploma is achieved by the creation of a portfolio including workplace evidence and supported by on site assessments.

What training will be provided?

On and off the job training. Apprentices also attend Aldershot College once a week to learn the underpinning knowledge required and to develop their skills. In addition, there are regular progress monitoring and support visits to the workplace.

What Next?

Progression from this pathway

There is not an advanced apprenticeship for interior systems as requirements of the occupational area are covered at this level. However, after gaining work experience there are opportunities to progress into occupational work supervision, management or technical support areas.

Entry Requirements

What previous qualifications and experience will I need?

The entry criteria are staff aged 16 and over.  GCSE’s from grade 3 or E will be considered along with the results of an initial assessment.
