About the course
This five week course provides an introduction to anyone wanting to learn Photoshop from scratch. This course has been designed for students who want to learn the professional and most effective way to use Photoshop from the ground up to develop your skills and build confidence in image manipulation techniques. Working knowledge of the Windows or Macintosh operating system is required
Who is this programme for?
This course is for anyone with an interest in digital image manipulation who would like to develop their confidence in working with Photoshop.

How will I be taught?
The sessions will be all practical with demonstrations and then class time for you to explore the technique/s.
What modules are covered?
- Introduction to the Photoshop environment, tools and Image editing.
- Setting Image size and resolution
- Crop, straighten and perspective crop tools
- Use selection tools to isolate parts of an image
- Working with and manipulating layers
- Using Layers’ Masks
- Main tonal and colour adjustments
- Basic colouring techniques in Photoshop
- Saving images and file formats
What training will be provided?
Practical instruction into a range of image manipulation techniques.
