About this course

This course is ideal for School Leavers who want to pursue a career in the health and social care sector.

This programme will provide you with a broad based introduction to Health and Social Care, preparing for a range of employment opportunities in Care or further study.

In addition to the Extended Certificate units students also have the opportunity to attend two weeks of work placement where they can complete their Creative and Therapeutic Activities project in a vocational setting. This helps the student with their transition into either Level 3 or the workplace.

Costs

Additional costs will be incurred for a DBS check, polo shirt, visits and textbook. Further details will be advised at interview.

From School

  • Four GCSEs at grades 9-3
  • To include English or maths GCSEs at grades 9-3

  • Relevant level 1 qualification
