About the course
The course is designed for School Leavers who are interested in the world of Business and would like to progress on to Level 3 or an apprenticeship after completion. The qualification covers a broad range of topics to prepare you for a career in various workplaces, taught through hands-on and interesting job-related work, group tasks and projects.

You will learn essential skills such as business enterprise, project management, selling and promoting a brand, and financial awareness, from planning to making a profit.

How will I be taught?

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is mainly coursework with deadlines set across the academic year. Two units will be exam based. Grades can be attained of Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction* depending on the level of achievement.

Successful completion of the programme with a merit grade or higher makes our level 3 business programme a natural route of progression. You could also explore related apprenticeships or look to start your career at a junior level.
Entry Requirements
What previous qualifications and experience will I need?
From School
- Four GCSEs at grades 9-3
- To include English or maths GCSEs at grades 9-3
From College
- Relevant level 1 qualification, typically at merit grade or above
- English and maths at level 1 or higher
