This course is for applicants who have completed a Level 2 Hairdressing qualification and want to gain an additional qualification in Barbering.
Level 2 Certificate in Barbering (QCF) at Junior Stylist level enabling you to work commercially.
Who is this programme for?
Adults 19+

Your course
How will I be taught?
- Theory classes
- Practical salon classes with clients from Oct half term
What modules are covered?
- Advise and consult with clients
- Cut men’s hair using basic techniques
- Cut facial hair to shape using basic techniques
- Dry and finish men’s hair
- Health and Safety
How will I be assessed?
Assessments in all units are undertaken in College, and are a mixture of theory and practical work. Your practical work on clients will be observed by an assessor and marked. Some modules have exams, these are sat online.
Client feedback will need to be collated as evidence.
What training will be provided?
Theory delivery, developing and perfecting practical barbering skills.

What Next?
You could progress onto a Level 3 Hairdressing course or employment in the hairdressing industry.
Entry Requirements
How will I be assessed?
You will be screened to check literacy and numeracy. In addition, if English is not your language, you will be asked to do a Diagnostic Test. This will determine the appropriate course and level for each student.
What previous qualifications and experience will I need?
You should have completed a Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing.
