Study Method – Online and On Campus
The subjects of the course are set in accordance with the Financial Skills Partnership (FSP) National Occupational Standards as follows:
After the initial weeks of tuition you will complete computer based assessments set by the AAT and arranged in conjunction with your lecturer. There is a programme of support and revision for these assessments and you will be fully equipped to achieve. You will be given an exam date and a second opportunity to re-sit if you do not pass first time. After that you must re-join as a new student and pay again for the course.
AAT offers a range of benefits for student members (including study support, career advice to help find the perfect job and exclusive discounts), as well as a route into chartered accountancy. If you choose to further your studies with one of the leading chartered professional bodies, such as ACCA, CIPFA or CIMA, your AAT qualifications will give you generous exemptions.
Successful completion of the Level 2 Certificate gives entry to the Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting or if you gain a distinction profile in your two bookkeeping exams, you could be considered suitable for the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. This would be at the discretion of the teaching team and your performance on the course, including attendance, contribution to workshop sessions and completion of on-line material will be part of this decision.
The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is a professional membership body. Level 2 Certificate in Accounting is a professional qualification that will add credibility to your accounting knowledge.
