About this course

This course is ideal for School Leavers who want to pursue a career in aircraft maintenance.

This is a one year programme of full time education in College gaining practical hand skills related to aircraft maintenance together with appropriate theoretical knowledge. On successful completion of the year students will have gained both practical (Performing Engineering Operations) and technical qualifications (Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering).

What Next?

Upon successful completion you will be supported to apply for Apprenticeships with Aircraft Maintenance Engineering companies or other areas of engineering. Alternatively you could progress to further study at Level 3.

From School

  • Five GCSEs at grades 9-4
  • To include English and maths GCSEs at 9-4

  • Relevant level 2 qualification at merit grade or higher
