About this course

This NVQ is for people who are already working in the industry who are, or aspire to become supervisors.

You will learn in our industry-standard commercial Gallery Restaurant. The restaurant is open to the public so you’ll be gaining real practical experience using effective communication and service skills to prepare, cook and present food to customers.

Who is this programme for?

For those who have achieved NVQ Level 2 in food and drink service or an equivalent and working in a management role in the hospitality or catering sector. This may include team leaders, shift managers, duty managers and assistant and general managers in any work setting.

How will I be taught?

How will I be assessed?

Practical assessments will take place in the college restaurant. Assessment is supported by written underpinning knowledge tests. Students will be required to compile personal portfolios of evidence. Work based appraisal will form a vital part of self development during the programme.

What training will be provided?

Students will be provided with theoretical and practical skills to support assessment of occupational competence to NVQ Level 3 in Hospitality Supervision.
