Hart Health Partnership is the newly merged practice of highly regarded Fleet Medical Centre and Branksomewood Health Centre. Following the merger, we now look after 28500 patients. We are based over two sites in close proximity of each other, within the heart of the Fleet Community.
We are a multi-disciplinary team with 21 GP’s including 9 GP partners, a large team of dedicated Nurses and Paramedic, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy Practitioners who are supported by a wealth of healthcare professionals ranging from Health & Wellbeing Coaches to Mental health Support workers. We have a BRILLIANT Reception team with a wide range of backgrounds & life experience who work closely with the clinical team to address patients needs.
We are looking for team members to join our dedicated reception team to help provide support to Fleet community. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors with a polite and helpful manner giving a good first impression of our practice. With a discreet, calm, efficient manner you will follow protocols and respond appropriately to daily situations confidently. There are many facets to the MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST ROLE including front of house services, answering telephone calls, making appointments, sign posting to appropriate services and supporting the wider practice team. A can-do attitude with an ability to problem-solve is a must!!

Hourly Rate £11.34
You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors with a polite and helpful manner giving a good first impression of our practice. You will be discreet, calm and efficient and be able to follow protocols and respond appropriately to daily situations confidently. You will provide reception and front of house services as well as be part of the team answering telephone calls to make appointments, deal with queries and taking messages.
To represent the medical centre as a first point of contact and to liaise between patients and the doctors
To provide a service which will assist in the smooth running of the practice and achieve patient satisfaction
To make appointments for patients to see either a doctor, nurse or counsellor or other health professional over the telephone or via the reception desk
To take accurate messages from patients and record and communicate them appropriately
To liaise with other surgery departments
Prescriptions administration and scanning room tasks as and when required
Maintaining high standards of appearance for the front of house areas including waiting room, main entrance and reception desk
Usual general reception and administration duties involving use of technology and a variety of systems and processes
To support the GP teams and other teams with administrative processes
