Established in 1999, PPK specialises in hydraulic cylinders, pumps and accumulators and manufactures new bespoke rams in-house to the customers exact requirements.

PPK are now firmly established as one of the leading hydraulic companies in our specialist fields. Operating our business from modern premises in Aldershot, with full in-house manufacturing, refurbishment, test facilities and trade counter.

The Role

PPK have an exciting opportunity for a trainee to join the team and be trained on all aspects of the workshop. Working within a highly supportive team, this role will help provide assistance to the overall success of the Company and provide the trainee with a well rounded view of the operations. The Trainee role will prepare the successful candidate with the opportunity to progress to become one of the team’s valued engineers.

The role is full time with 39.5 hours per week and pay would comply with statutory minimum wage. The start date can be negotiated to after your course finishes, in summer 2024.

Role responsibilities:

·       Stripping, reassembling and testing hydraulic cylinders and pumps

·       Machining replacement parts

·       Welding

·       Making hydraulic hoses

Skills and attributes:

·       Previous experience or knowledge of engineering would be beneficial although not required

·       Passion of starting a career within the engineering sector

·       Eagerness to learn

·       Ability to navigate between different roles of the Company

·       A can-do attitude with the willingness to ask questions
