We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join the University’s Campus Operations team in delivering a first-class maintenance service to our buildings, services and equipment. You will carry out a wide range of general maintenance tasks, including repairs, assisting with testing of equipment and routine inspections. You will complete the Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship with Windsor Forest Colleges Group – Langley College.

We are seeking to appoint an Apprentice Property Maintenance Operative to join the Campus Operations team, within Estates, who offer a reactive and planned maintenance service to University owned properties across all our campuses and sites. This role will likely be predominately based at the Greenlands campus, Henley, after initial inductions.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Technical: Take instructions from an experienced tradesman, Senior Tradesman or Supervisor or Manager in order to independently complete a variety of basic Reactive and Planned maintenance tasks.
  • Health & Safety: To be proactive in maintaining, supporting & promoting a secure and safe working environment for all customers, staff, and visitors.
  • Customer Support: Maintain regular contact with customers and stakeholders to ensure that the services provided meet their needs & expectations affecting them in a timely manner.
