We have continued our outstanding 100% pass rate this year as our A Level students take their next step toward university and employment. Students visited the college on results day to collect their results and share their plans with teachers.
Many of our students are now looking forward to studying at university after their successes at the college:
Jodie Craig, 18 from Camberley, studied Sociology, Psychology and Law and has been awarded a place at Bournemouth University to study Psychology. She was buzzing on getting her results.
Sarah Jones, 18 from Aldershot, has secured a place at the University of Portsmouth to study Law. Sarah studied Sociology, Law and English. Sarah said I dont think I would have got a place at university without the help of Farnborough College of Technology. The teachers really believe in you and are determined to support you through the course.
Abby Langridge, 18 from Farnborough, is feeling very proud of herself after achieving A Levels in History, English and Psychology after studying for her GCSEs in Suffolk. Abby is now off to study for a degree in Sports and Leisure at Falmouth University: I shall miss the teachers at Farnborough College of Technology; I really feel I have grown up a lot since I started studying here.
Alex Galbriath, 19 from Fleet, succeeded in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and has secured a place to study Applied Physics at the University of Portsmouth. Alex said Everybody is really helpful and you are pushed to do as well as possible.
Principal Christine Slaymaker CBE said:
I am delighted with our 100% pass rate. The results have been hard earned but are well deserved and students and their families should be justifiably proud.
I also want to recognise the dedicated work of teachers and staff who have supported, motivated and inspired students through two years of study.
I want to wish our students the very best of luck in their future lives and look forward to hearing of their future successes.
