5 Famous Faces You Didn’t Know Were Apprentices

How many of the famous faces below did you know were once Apprentices?

 

Jamie Oliver

Jamie left school with only 2 GCSEs before he began Catering Apprenticeships with restaurants throughout London. Since then, he’s had television shows, authored 11 cookbooks, and has even set up his own in-house Apprenticeship scheme.

 

Karen Millen

Karen started out as an Apprentice, studying Fashion in Rochester. She sold t-shirts to her friends as a side-project, and went on to open her first shop. By the time she sold her company, she had 130 stores internationally, across 25 countries.

 

Ross Brawn

A Formula One legend, Ross began his career as a Mechanical Craft Apprentice gaining a qualification as an instrument mechanic. He has since risen in the ranks of Formula One to become the current ‘Managing Director, Motor Sports’.

 

Gordon Ramsay

Just like Jamie, Gordon started his Culinary career as an Apprentice. He’s gone on to found multiple restaurants which have gained 16 Michelin Stars combined, author cookbooks, and host a string of successful television shows.

 

John Frieda

John started out working part-time in his father’s salon before training as a Hairdressing Apprentice. He went on to become a celebrity hairstylist, create lines of hair products, and has become one of the biggest names in the hairdressing industry.
