Applying to University Late and How to Apply Direct

You could still be studying towards a degree or other higher education qualification in 2018

There are still options to secure a university place for this September, even if you:

  • Haven’t applied to any universities yet
  • Are worried you won’t meet the conditions set by the universities you’ve applied to
  • Have changed your mind

Here’s what you can do:

Apply Direct

You can apply to some universities direct without UCAS, including University Centre Farnborough. Even if you’ve already applied to other universities through UCAS, applying direct won’t affect applications you’ve already made.

Applying direct can be easy – you won’t typically need to fill out a complicated form or pay an application fee.

Interested in applying to University Centre Farnborough? You can find our wide range of higher education courses here or find out more below.

Find University Spaces Through UCAS Clearing

You can apply to universities through the UCAS Clearing Service between July and September if you:

  • Haven’t received any offers
  • Don’t want to accept any of the offers you’ve received
  • Haven’t met the conditions set by the universities you’ve applied to
  • Are applying after 30 June

Universities who have places available on their courses will advertise vacancies through Clearing. Remember – if you’re applying after 30 June, you’ll still need to complete an application and provide a personal statement to use the Clearing service.

Add Another University Choice with UCAS Extra

If you’ve already applied through UCAS but haven’t received an offer, don’t want to accept any offers you’ve received, or haven’t met the conditions set by the universities you have applied to, you can use UCAS Extra to add an extra university choice. This service is available until July.
