Catching up with Creatives from our Class of 2024

This June has seen our art and design department’s annual show taking place at the College, with students showcasing the talents and skills they’ve been honing over the past two years.

We caught up with some of them to find out what their plans are and how they felt about their time with us.

Aman is now due to start his art and design foundation course at the University for the Creative Arts following his art and design course at Farnborough.

“My favourite part about studying this course was learning all the new techniques within art. One of my favourite new techniques is Cubism. I also learnt digital skills with Photoshop.”

Georgia is starting a creative internship in Portugal after studying photography with us.

“I loved how much creative freedom you get but while still getting guidance from the lecturers, which really helped push every idea into producing strong projects and final pieces.”

“One skill I learnt from taking the BTEC and will continue to use in the future, is all the post production editing and getting that full exposure to Adobe software to improve and develop the images further was really useful!”

Izzy studied art and design and is looking forward to studying fine art at the University for the Creative Arts.

“My favourite part of the course was learning new art skills and experimenting with new materials, a skill that I have learnt is communication which will be very useful to communicate with clients in my career. I have also really developed my confidence throughout the course.”

Adan is preparing for his user experience design at University of the Arts London after his graphic design course with us.

“I loved learning new skills that made me a better designer, especially how they can affect the world around us. If I had to name one skill I would say learning how to create a visually engaging poster or application.”

“As for the skill that was most useful, it would be creating a portfolio that got me into one of the best unis in the world for art and design.”
