Celebrations for our Access to Higher Education Students

This July, our Access to Higher Education students celebrated the completion of their course among teachers, friends and family.

Students received certificates of achievement and were congratulated by Principal Virginia Barrett, Programme Manager Brain Rubin, and Head of Faculty Wendy Funnell. This was followed by refreshments and a chance to reflect on the past year, as well as celebrating their achievement with us.

Our range of Access to Higher Education courses are specially designed to provide those who missed out on a formal qualification at college a route into higher education. Hundreds of former students have gone on to study higher education courses at both our own University Centre Farnborough and elsewhere, showing that the course is successfully preparing and giving students the confidence they need for the next stage in their education.

After a year of hard work, this year’s students can now enjoy the summer break before becoming undergraduates this September. We congratulate them on the first part of their journey and wish them every success in the future!

Students interested in following in their footsteps can visit one of our Open Events to speak to staff about their options, including information about funding and how government loans can be written off.

For those interested in studying with us, please visit our pages for either Access or University-level courses. Applications can be made online and are still open for this September!
