Macmillan

Farnborough College of Technology raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 25 September 2015.

With staff, students and regular restaurant-goers in abundance, the college’s catering team raised an outstanding £394.77 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Visitors were treated to a delicious range of baked goods, cakes and refreshments, whilst a raffle with some fantastic prizes including a variety of floral displays meant few left empty-handed.

Aldershot College also took part in the event, with members of staff and students studying bricklaying, carpentry, electrical installation, and plumbing raising funds at the on-site canteen. So far £110 has been received in donations, with plans to continue raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support until the end of September.

Macmillan Cancer Support is a source of support, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need. They help carers, families and communities. They also fund nurses, other specialist health care professionals and build cancer care centres.
