On Friday 20 March, local employer Dimension Data (UK) visited University Centre Farnborough to highlight future opportunities for students working towards their computing degrees.

Mike Potts, HR Business Partner for Dimension Data (UK), was joined by former Farnborough student Chris Dlugokecki, who graduated last year with 1st class Honours and is currently employed by the company.

A room full of fascinated students enjoyed hearing about Chris’s route into the scheme and discussed the type of roles current students might wish to pursue upon graduation – providing much food for thought and conversation afterwards. With Chris as the company’s first graduate trainee, the locally based international IT company said they have been so impressed with him they are keen to continue building links with University Centre Farnborough and the next class of students due to graduate.

Chris Dlugokecki graduated from University Centre Farnborough with a BSc Hons In Computing in 2014. Dimension Data have operations in over 58 countries, with over 23,000 employees and over 6,000 clients.

University Centre Farnborough offers a range of degrees in Computing. Full course information can be found here.
