Congratulations to our A Level Students!

We’re celebrating another year of fantastic results from our A Level students!

A Level results day saw many of our students celebrating their achievements, as they set in place their plans for the future. Our students aged 16-18 achieved a pass rate of 97%, and students aged 19+ a pass rate of 100%.

Students visiting the College today were able to collect their results and share their success with tutors and classmates. Many students are now looking forward to starting degrees and apprenticeships at various institutions across the country, and beginning the path to their future careers.

Principal, Virginia Barrett, said “Our A Level students have worked incredibly hard and we are delighted with their success. It is fantastic to see so many students moving on to the next steps of their educational journey, and we are very proud of what they have achieved.”

“These excellent results were made possible by our staff, who are dedicated to motivating and inspiring students, with exceptional teaching and support. We wish all of our students the best of luck in their future plans and look forward to hearing of their successes.”

Head of A Levels, Emma Watkin, commented “An excellent set of results from our students today. I am really proud of what they have managed to achieve and I am also proud of the staff for the effort and work that they have put in.”

Louise achieved an A in English Language and Literature, B in Sociology and B in her Extended Project Qualification. She also studied BTEC Performing Arts alongside her A Levels and achieved D* D*. In September, Louise will be going to the University of Lincoln to study Primary Education.

“I really like the class sizes at Farnborough because everybody got enough attention. The teachers are really dedicated to helping you.”

Sarfraz gained an A* in Business, B in Economics and C in Government and Politics, and is planning to start a career in Network Marketing.

“Farnborough has helped me a lot, I got all of the support I needed from the teachers. I really enjoyed it here and wouldn’t have been able to do it without my teachers.”

Leah finished with a B in Psychology, a B in Sociology and a D in Biology. She will be starting a Higher Apprenticeship in Veterinary Nursing.

“I loved all of the people I met. I got on really well with everyone and that was my favourite bit.”

Myles received an A in Chemistry, B in Maths, and a B in Physics. He will be studying Physics at Nottingham University.

“I enjoyed the support that I got here and the small classes. That’s the reason I came to this college, I felt I’d get more one-to-one time with the teachers.”

Our Adult Access to Higher Education students also received great news on their journey to university this summer.

It’s not too late to apply to study an A Level course at Farnborough College of Technology for this September. If you’d like to study a BTEC alongside your A Level, we also offer the option to combine these courses. For more information, please click here.

For all students at Farnborough and beyond receiving their A Level results, degree places are still available at University Centre Farnborough via Clearing or online. More information about our courses can be found here.

Well done to everyone who received results and we wish you good luck for the future!
