Your Health Matters! A Look Back at the College’s Health Fairs

The College is pleased to announce the success of its recent Health Fairs, held at both the Farnborough and Aldershot campuses at the end of April.

These events, coordinated by the College’s Learner Services Team, provided students with a valuable opportunity to engage with a wide range of health and wellbeing organisations. A total of 15 organisations participated, offering students a wealth of information on a variety of mental and physical health – the students’ favourite therapy dogs even made an appearance!

The Fairs were a lively and informative experience, with students actively seeking advice, participating in sports challenges and taking advantage of the free resources available. From vegan eating and mental health to sexual health and substance abuse, the organisations covered a broad spectrum of issues relevant to young people and explored how to navigate them.

Farnborough College of Technology Principal CEO, Virginia Barrett, said: “We are committed to supporting the overall well-being of our students. The Health Fairs provided a fantastic platform for them to connect with vital support services and gain valuable knowledge on how to look after their physical and mental health. We were delighted to see the high level of engagement from our students, and we will be sure to host more of these events in the future.”

Farnborough College of Technology is proud to offer a holistic learning environment that prioritises student well-being alongside academic success. The College’s Learner Services Team is a vital resource for students, providing a range of support services to help them make the most of their academic journey and thrive during their studies.
