Local singer-songwriter and inspirational speaker, BR James, visited the College last week to give a motivational speech and musical performance to our Music and Performing Arts students.
BR James gave a raw rendition of his real-life experiences in the music industry and provided students with useful information surrounding networking, songwriting and money management.
Students were also treated to a live performance by BR James and the band:
Abigail, a Level 3 Music Technology student who watched the performance commented:
“The visit from BR James was so inspiring – his passion for music gave us a fresh perspective on the importance of loving your work and believing in what you do.”
The visit was organised by Performing Arts tutor, Sian Holland, who said:
“BR James is a charismatic individual who brings honesty and hope to the future aspirations of a young musician or performer.”
Applications are still open to study a Music or Performing Arts course with us this September. If you’d like to visit the College, please come along to one of our upcoming Open Events.
