Photography Beyond the Classroom

Photography students at University Centre Farnborough exhibited their work at the prestigious BALTIC Self-Publishing Artists Market in Newcastle.

The BALTIC Self-Publishing Artists’ Market is a showcase of work from artists, small press publishers, colleges and universities. The event explores trends and practises within art, as well as giving artists an opportunity to sell their work.

Photography students Pamela-Ann, Vivianna, and graduate Fiona attended the event to exhibit their photobooks.

Reflecting on the event, Pamela-Ann commented: “The experience of the Baltic fair was a unique one, being able to show your work alongside so many talented individuals was inspiring and motivating.”

Fiona commented: “I was delighted to attend as an alumni from the BA Photography Course and it was fantastic to see that book production is still strongly encouraged on the course. The standard of books on show this year from the course was very impressive and the opportunity to see the creativity of other exhibitors is very valuable.”
