Former student and salon owner Kerry Mather visited the our Hair & Beauty Academy with her team of experts to engage with our students and share their professional advice.
Kerry, who was a student here 30 years ago, has run the salon in Fleet for over 25 years and employs a number of former Farnborough students in her team of creative stylists. During their visit, the teams expertise and creativity shone through as they created a Balayage colour look, smudged root colour effect, two on-trend cuts and a classic vintage waved look.
Returning to the college, the stylists shared their achievements since completing their courses:
Jade Miles studied here 14 years ago and is currently the British Fellowship Colour Project Student of the Year and a Kevin Murphy Ambassador.
Jonathan Hill finished his Level 3 Hairdressing Apprenticeship here last summer. He has already been picked after winning a competition to be part of the Schwarzkopf Professional Young Artistic Team.
Jess Spencer completed her Level 3 qualification four years ago and has just completed the Colour Project X with the British Fellowship.
Programme Manager of Hairdressing Clair Bryan said:
The expertise and inspiration these stylists bought to the Hair & Beauty Academy today was so inspiring – showing how, and where, your career can take you.
As a teacher it also reassures me that the students we train have the skills needed to succeed not just in the workplace but at a national level, through competitions and by learning the latest looks and trends as we saw during their visit.
University-level qualifications are also available in management for Hospitality and Salon & Spa venues through University Centre Farnborough.
A wide range of hair and beauty treatments are also available to members of the public at our Hair and Beauty Academy. Customers should call 01252 407243 to find out more.
