Royal Aeronautical Society Recognises Students

Each year, the Farnborough branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society recognises and awards engineering students who have studied especially hard and been excellent ambassadors for the industry.

Due to Covid-19, the 2019/20 cohort of students’ awards were delayed until Spring 2020, where Paul Cheetham (Chair of the Farnborough branch) joined our students online to recognise their efforts. Principal CEO Virginia Barrett, Assistant Principal Clive Hodge, and Associate Director of Marketing and Learner Services Steven Hunt also joined the call to congratulate the students.

Paul Cheetham commented that:

“Farnborough has been the home of British Aviation for over 100 years, being the location of the first manned flight in Britain of a powered aircraft by Samuel Cody in 1908. Developing the future Aerospace / Aviation Engineers continues this link and is vital for a thriving Aerospace Industry. The Farnborough Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society is proud to award these students for their excellent work on their Aerospace related courses at Farnborough College of Technology and wishes them well in their future careers.“
