Stunning Student Creations Exhibited at Creative Catwalk Show

Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Fashion and Textiles students came together to create some amazing styles and designs to show off to employers, family and friends as part of our Creative Catwalk Event.

Fashion students created their pieces based on the ‘White on White’ theme, in which they could only use white fabric and threads in their designs. Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy students worked with them to create imaginative hair and make-up creations to help bring their visions to life.

The ‘Emerging Trends’ theme

The show also included styles from Hairdressing students and apprentices, who developed looks based on the theme of ‘creative and emerging hair trends, products and fashion’.

Students, used to working with members of the public in the College’s Hair & Beauty Academy, spent the evening working on bold and imaginative creations for their models’ runway debut.

As well as family and friends, local employers attended the event, giving students a chance to show off their innovative styles to industry professionals.

After the show, guests mingled in the Gallery Restaurant with mocktails and canapes created and served by Catering and Hospitality students, while models made their way to the College’s photo studio for a fashion shoot with by Photography degree students from University Centre Farnborough.

Programme Manager for Hair and Beauty, Clair Bryan said:

“It’s fantastic that our students get to work together with students from other departments to show off the skills and techniques they have learnt in lessons.

“The Creative Catwalk Event was a huge success and it’s great to see such a diverse range of imaginative styles and looks being produced by our students.”
