We recommend that you:

  • Browse our range of courses below depending on what type of teaching you want to train for
  • Visit us at our next Open Event to talk to our expert staff about what options you have
  • Decide when you’d like to start a course – applications are still open to start in September 2017

Louise

FdA Foundation Degree In Learning Support
BA (Hons) In Education (Learning Support) Top Up

“I was unsure at the start of my course whether I would be able to juggle work, raise three boys by myself and complete a Degree. With the help and support of the tutors I passed the Foundation Degree with a Distinction and am now studying for the BA (Hons) in Education.”

“I advise anyone considering studying at Farnborough to visit the site and talk to the tutors as they are very approachable and dedicated to their work. I have been very satisfied with the learning experienced I have had at Farnborough.”

Rita

FdA Foundation Degree In Learning Support
BA (Hons) In Education (Learning Support) Top Up

“Becoming a teacher has been my dream since the age of five and to this end I have undertaken and just completed my Foundation degree at Farnborough. I am now studying in the evenings towards the BA (Hons) Education (Top Up) and am delighted to have just been accepted on a Schools Direct in Secondary Mathematics teacher training course.”

“All of this was only achievable due to Farnborough’s flexible course structures, as they fit in with my busy lifestyle and thus allowed me to change my career and pursue my dream. The tutors are friendly and always supportive. You know that they are always available to help, even at the end of an email with sage advice to help make sense of things if you’re concerned or confused.”

Adam

Professional  Certificate in Education

“Being able to work full-time, yet gain a recognised teaching qualification studying part-time is great for anyone in a similar position to myself, where they have a family and can’t afford to give up full-time work in order to study.”

“It’s interesting learning from classmates and how they implement strategies and ideas in their own education setting. I would recommend the course as it’s interesting, well paced and informative.”

Alisha

FdA Foundation Degree In Early Years Care and Education
BA (Hons) In Early Childhood Studies (Top-Up)

“I find the work experience element interesting as it allows me to see what I learn in practice. It also allows me to experience what it’s like working in that particular environment and if it’s right for me.”

“After the course I’d like to complete my teacher training and work in a school.”
