Turnstiles at College

From Monday 16 January we will be fully activating the new turnstiles that are positioned at the entrances to our campuses at Farnborough and Aldershot. These are in place to help prevent people from entering the College who are not supposed to be here.

Using the Turnstiles

Tapping your student ID card against a turnstile unlocks them so that you can walk through it. Next to the turnstiles are glass-gate entrances for those who are not able to use the walk-through turnstiles. These are also unlocked by tapping your student ID card. If you have any problems using them, please talk to a member of staff.

Dos and Don’ts

  • Do always bring your college ID card and lanyard with you to college
  • Do wear you lanyard when at college so that staff know you are supposed to be here
  • Don’t give your student ID card or lanyard to anyone else, or allow someone to use your card to enter a turnstile. If you do this, you will face disciplinary action
  • Don’t try to jump over a turnstile or use it incorrectly. This could also lead to disciplinary action as well as cause injury to yourself

Forgotten your Lanyard?

Replacement lanyards can be bought from the library for £5, so we highly recommend working your own ‘lanyard-check’ into your morning routine to avoid this.

Thank you for your support in keeping our college safe.
