Pay My Student

BEFORE you apply please read the following information.

New applicants

To enable you to login and access PayMyStudent, your first need to set up an account. If you are already enrolled and know your eight-digit student number, please register using this option by entering your date of birth and creating a password. Your student number can be found on your joining letter or on your student ID card.

Once you have registered, a verification code will be sent to you via your email (this may go into your spam/junk box). Once your account has been activated, you will then be taken back to the main portal page. You can now login using your details and password you created.

2023/2024 Bursary students

Applications for 2023/24 will be open from August 2023. Please check back on this page in August to apply.

EU and EEA students – Am I eligible for a bursary?

The United Kingdom left the European Union and free movement between the UK and the EU has ended. Students who are nationals of EU countries who enter the UK after 31^st December 2020 are not automatically eligible for funding and must be able to demonstrate that they are legally resident in the UK to be funded. I am applying for a travel pass and I live more than 2.5 miles from College. Why do you need details of my household?

We need to take details of household income so that your travel pass is charged to the correct funding stream and that the College comply with government funding guidelines.

What travel assistance can I apply for?

The college can only provide Stagecoach bus pass, if you need to use other bus company, we are unable to provide ticket alternatives.

The college can only provide discounted seasoned tickets for South West trains; if you need to use other train operators, we are unable to provide ticket alternatives for other operators.

In some cases, it is possible that the student will need to buy their bus/train pass independently. The bursary will refund you financially, but the amount will be limited. Your approved funding letter for the bursary will make this clear.

I don’t know my student number, or I cannot remember my password?

Your student number is on your student ID card or can be found on your joining form.

Click on Forgot my password and follow the instructions. Once you have re-set your password, you can then apply.

I’ve uploaded my documents to the system – do I also need to take paper copies into the College?

We will get in touch if we need to see paper copies of your documents. The main reason for this is if the documents were “chopped” when photographed so are missing information.

How do I upload my documents?

The entire application form is mobile compatible and uploading evidence can be much quicker using a mobile device’s camera or gallery (if you already have images of your evidence), so you may wish to apply using a mobile/tablet.

How do I know if my application has been successful?

The College will determine the amount of award bursary depending on your individual needs.

When your application has been assessed, you will be advised of the outcome by email, along with details of how the payments will be made.

Please note, Higher Education students & Apprenticeship students cannot apply for this bursary.

Exceptional Hardship Bursary

This fund is available for Higher Education students who have exhausted all other avenues of funding. The fund may be allocated as a bursary or as a loan depending on the level of financial need. For further information and to apply, download the application form here.
