Business Revision Guides and Workbooks
You will be required to purchase a BTEC revision guide and workbook for the two exam units you will be studying.
The books can be found using the below ISBN numbers and can be purchased on various websites such as Amazon
BTEC First in Business Revision Guide ISBN: 9781446906682
BTEC First in Business Revision Workbook ISBN: 9781446906699
You will be required to undertake 2 weeks work experience during your time with us. This will contribute to your study programme and allow you to have firsthand experience of what it is like to work in the industry they are interested in pursuing a career in. You will be responsible of obtaining your own work placement and you will be required to contact companies and go through the necessary application process. Therefore we ask that you start looking now and are ready to give details of to your tutor upon enrolment.
Placements need to be in a suitable location so that you are able to conveniently get there and as a rule of thumb a 20 mile radius of the college is advised, due to health and safety reasons.
One of the many ways in which we help our students to be successful is by making sure that we provide support for meeting the costs of studying for those who need it.
We offer Bursary Schemes that can help with the costs of travel to college, course materials, uniform and some trips. We also offer Free College Meals – if you received Free Meals at school it is likely that you will qualify for this scheme.
For more information and to find out if you’re eligible, head to our Finance, Fees and Support page.
There are lots of other ways you can get ready to start studying in September!
