Location: UCF – Farnborough College of Technology
On the day of your enrolment session, you will need to bring the following:
**If you are under 18, your parent/guardian must sign your Joining Form for you.
During your enrolment session you will meet with teaching staff and discuss your choice of course to ensure that you’re still on the course that is best for you.
We will check your Joining Form and GCSE results during the session, so make sure to bring them with you on the day and that your joining form is signed.
We will also take a photo and print it onto your Student ID card, so remember to bring your best smile!
Farnborough College of Technology is a 10-minute walk from the town centre, with convenient public transport links, as well as free on-site car parking. To find out more about getting to college, please see our Travel page.
We will be undertaking an overseas educational trip in the Spring term. Destination and price will be confirmed at the beginning of the academic year.
You will be required to undertake 2 weeks work experience during your time with us. This will contribute to your study programme and allow you to have firsthand experience of what it is like to work in the industry they are interested in pursuing a career in. You will be responsible of obtaining your own work placement and you will be required to contact companies and go through the necessary application process. Therefore we ask that you start looking now and are ready to give details of to your tutor upon enrolment.
Placements need to be in a suitable location so that you are able to conveniently get there and as a rule of thumb a 20 mile radius of the college is advised, due to health and safety reasons.
One of the many ways in which we help our students to be successful is by making sure that we provide support for meeting the costs of studying for those who need it.
We offer Bursary Schemes that can help with the costs of travel to college, course materials, uniform and some trips. We also offer Free College Meals – if you received Free Meals at school it is likely that you will qualify for this scheme.
For more information and to find out if you’re eligible, head to our Finance, Fees and Support page.
There are lots of other ways you can get ready to start studying in September!
