Surrey LINK

Surrey County Council have a new 20s and under bus discount scheme.  The new ‘Surrey LINK’ card will allow young people, aged 20 and under, the ability to travel for half price on single and return tickets for any journey that starts and/or finishes in Surrey.

The new LINK card is free and will be available to apply online from Monday 3 July 2023 via www.surreycc.gov.uk/surreylink

The Surrey LINK card will replace the existing Surrey bus student fare card.  All LINK cards will be sent to the young person’s home address.

If students will be travelling by train aged 16 or 17,  the hugely successful National Rail 16-17 Saver railcard can be purchased directly from the 16-17 Saver website, it allows students 50% off single, return and season tickets. Please note: this scheme is not administered by Surrey County Council.

There will be two different types of LINK card:

i)                    one for under 16s

Cards are valid for a maximum of 3 years.  Young people will need to reapply for a LINK card once they turn 16.

ii)                   one for over 16s

Cards are valid for a maximum of 3 years.
