‘Outstanding’

We’re proud to retain our Outstanding status across all areas of the College, so you can feel rest-assured you’re getting a great quality of education.

Applications are open as usual

You can browse our full range of courses online, and make an application in under 15 minutes. Our entire application process is digital, which means it’s business as usual when it comes to taking the first step towards a new career, promotion, or life goal through us.

You can choose from a wide range of courses, including:

How do I apply?

Applying is simple. Browse our range of courses via the menus at the top of this page. Read about what you’ll be learning, what the entry requirements are, and what the course could lead to.

To make an application, follow the orange ‘Apply for this course’ button and follow the on-screen instructions. Remember, you can apply to more than one course and decide which you prefer later.

Had your exams cancelled?

All GCSE and A Level exams have been cancelled for May/June 2020. If this is making you think twice about your options, we recommend continuing to apply for your first choice of course as we can always amend your application later if needed. There are thousands of people in the same position as you, and we don’t want talented and ambitious students to be put-off their career goals because of exam cancellations.

You should also be reassured by the government’s statement around awarding grades, that says: “Ofqual, the independent qualifications regulator, will develop a fair and robust process that takes into account a broad range of evidence, including teacher assessment and prior attainment. Ofqual will make every effort to ensure that the process agreed does not disadvantage any particular group of students.”

What happens after I apply?

We’ll be in touch with you soon after your online application is made to arrange an interview or introductory chat by telephone, although this isn’t always necessary.

You won’t need to visit the College in person while Coronavirus poses a health risk, so you can relax at home while still making progress towards your life goals!

When we contact you, we’ll provide information, advice and guidance to make sure that your chosen course is right for you. We’ll also give you any extra information you might need, such as start dates, reading lists, useful websites and so on. Starting a course is an exciting time and it’s great to get involved early on!

How do I keep in touch?

You may find you have questions about a course which are specific to you, or that you think of in the weeks before starting a course. Although the College buildings are currently closed, the work that our staff do is in full flow and continuing as usual.

If your question is about an application, you can email admissions@farn-ct.ac.uk.

For general questions about a course, you can either follow the links from our course pages or submit your enquiry here.

Remember, the College staff are continuing to work as usual and are ready to help you with any information you might need.

Where can I get careers advice?
