Looking for childcare in Farnborough? Our popular nursery provides daytime childcare for local families, students, and college staff. Bookworms Nursery has its own dedicated area situated within the College campus, containing a specialised Baby Room, Toddler Room, Pre-school Room and an outdoor play area. Childcare is available during term-time for children aged three months to four years. Make an enquiry or arrange a visit today.
Our experienced staff are devoted to providing a safe and enjoyable environment, which encourages children to learn and play. For those living locally, Bookworms could be a suitable alternative to childminders, or nurseries and crèches situated further away. The nursery is also popular with our students and staff, who can feel reassured knowing their child is being cared for in close proximity while they study and work.

- Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Breakfast club:
- Monday to Friday 8:00 – 8:30am. (Term time only)
Sessions available each day:
- Breakfast club: 8:00-8:30am
- Morning with lunch: 8:30am-1pm
- Afternoon session: 1pm-5:30pm (1pm-4:30pm on Fridays)
- Full day: 8:30-5:30 (4:30 on Fridays)

A registration fee of £25.00 is payable to the nursery on a place being offered. £10.00 for students of Farnborough College of Technology.
Sibling discount of 10% applies to the youngest child’s fees, while two or more children are attending the nursery.
Fees include morning snack, hot lunch and an afternoon snack where applicable. Childcare vouchers are accepted as payment for fees. The nursery is also registered to receive tax-free childcare payments.

During your child’s time at Bookworms they will get to experience a wide variety of activities:
- All children can explore a wide variety of sensory materials
- Children have access to sand and water play, it is offered to the children indoors and outdoors
- Art and craft form a big part of the activities the children have the freedom to explore a huge variety of different materials
- Children are free to choose how they play whether it be role playing in the kitchen or playing with cars, trains and planes or settling down with their favourite puzzle.
- We have singing and story times daily, and books are always available in our cozy corners
- We cook regularly with children
- The garden is used daily for the children and we have waterproof suits for all - a little bit of rain doesn’t stop us!
Snacks and Lunches:
All meals served at the nursery are prepared and cooked by the College's refectory. Dietary requirements for allergies, intolerances, and/or religious needs are catered for. The nursery garden has a space for growing fruits and vegetables, and the children are encouraged to help look after the plants. These fruits and vegetables are then used at snack times or as part of the main meal.

"My son is almost 4 and has attended Bookworms since he was 4 months old. I chose Bookworms because the staff are lovely, supportive and welcoming. The nursery is equipped with everything a child needs for play, learning and development. All activities are thought out and planned fantastically, and the children have many opportunities to use other departments at the college (for example, the music department). Bookworms also has people come in to read stories, and participate in other areas of learning which is a fantastic resource to have!
The children have access to a garden which has bikes, scooters, climbing equipment, and so much more. The communication between staff and parents is amazing, and I am always kept up to date with my son's progress. All achievements are celebrated and the children are always smiling and laughing when I am in the nursery. My son has an amazing relationship with all staff and his keyworker, and he always comes home very happy and can't wait to start his next day at nursery.
