Whether you missed out on college, want to change careers, or need a degree to go for a promotion, an Access to Higher Education Diploma gives you everything you need to apply to university. We’ll also support you with university applications. You even have the option to study at our own University Centre!

The tuition fee for an Access to Higher Education Diploma can be covered using a similar type of loan to those used by university students. The government’s Advanced Learner Loan is:

  • Only repayable when you start earning over £26,575 per year
  • Not dependent on your income and there are no credit checks
  • Written off if you go on to complete a Higher Education course, the course must be eligible for student finance

  • Is an Access to Higher Education course classed as higher education? It isn’t, but it prepares you for higher education courses such as degrees, HNCs and others.
  • Are Access to Higher Education courses equivalent to A Levels? Access courses are broadly equivalent to two-three A Levels.
  • How long is an Access to Higher Education course? We teach Access courses over one year.
