QAA

The mission of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is to safeguard the public interest in sound standards of higher education qualifications and to inform and encourage continual improvement in the management of the quality of higher education.

As part of this mission, the QAA undertakes reviews of higher education provision delivered in further education colleges. Following a review in March 2017, the following judgements were made about standards and quality:

  • Confidence that academic standards are reliable, meet UK requirements, and are reasonably comparable
  • Confidence that the quality of the student academic experience meets baseline regulatory requirements

Our Position on Antisemitism

The College aims to ensure that all students, whatever their background, have a fulfilling experience of further and higher education. To support us in our work, we have adopted the IHRA definition of antisemitism as a guide to interpreting and understanding antisemitism.

The IHRA definition does not affect the legal definition of racial discrimination, but we have adopted the IHRA definition because we believe that it is a useful tool for understanding how antisemitism manifests itself in the 21st century.
