This course is designed to fit around your busy life! Delivered in partnership with Mindful Education, you'll experience a flexible blend of online learning and in-person classroom sessions. Study at your own pace online, then reinforce your knowledge with face-to-face lessons for an interactive, supportive learning experience.
We have partnered with with Mindful Education to deliver this course through our flexible Online and On Campus model.
Online, you will study award-winning video lessons, which are available on demand, and can be viewed from your phone, tablet or computer – meaning you can choose how, when and where you want to study. Lessons last for around 45 minutes and are accompanied by animations and motion graphics to bring concepts to life. Practice questions, downloadable lesson materials and interactive case studies help to enhance the learning experience further and learners should expect to spend around 5-6 hours studying independently online each week.
On campus, you benefit from regular classes with a college tutor – without having to commit to attending multiple evenings each week. Your tutor will review what you have learnt during your online lessons and will be on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Regular discussion with classmates will help to reinforce key points while also providing the additional support and motivation that comes from being part of a group.
The subjects of the course are set in accordance with the Financial Skills Partnership (FSP) National Occupational Standards as follows:
After the initial weeks of tuition you will complete computer based assessments set by the AAT. There is a programme of support and revision for these assessments and you will be fully equipped to achieve.
Computer based assessments will be available on a regular basis within your College programme on Wednesday afternoon.
Successful completion of the Level 3 Diploma gives entry to the Level 4 Diploma qualification, significantly enhancing your accountancy skills.
It is necessary to have achieved the AAT Level 2 Certificate, a Level 2 accounting/book-keeping qualification or have equivalent work experience with a satisfactory result on AAT on-line skill check (www.aatskillcheck.org) plus Maths & English at level 2 grade c (4) or above.
