Your course
How will I be taught?
You’ll spend two evenings a week at Farnborough College of Technology, studying a range of modules designed to give you the best possible preparation for entering the industry. You will be taught in small groups on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. You'll also have the opportunity to visit Farnborough Airport for Insight Days in January to be immersed in hands-on learning across different operational departments.

You will study a range of modules to give you a good grounding and overview of the aviation industry, including:
- NATS (National Air Traffic Services)
- Security
- Customer Service (City & Guilds accredited)
- Airport Operations
- Ground Handling
- Health & Safety
- Rescue and Firefighting Service

Although this course does not guarantee a position, you’ll be well-placed to apply for a variety of jobs in the aviation industry, especially at Farnborough Airport.

Entry Requirements
What is the entry process?
After applying through our website, you may be invited to interview.
If you are invited to interview, it will be held at Farnborough Airport and will involve giving a short presentation.
There will be 10 places on the course.
The course will start in November.

What previous qualifications and experience will I need?
For this programme, you must:
- Have a valid UK driver’s licence
- Have at least a Level 3 Qualification or equivalent.
Level 3 qualifications could include:
- A Level
- Access to Higher Education Diploma
- Advanced Apprenticeship
- Level 3 BTECs/Applied Generals
- International Baccalaureate Diploma
- T Levels
