About the course
This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to access and progress to degree level study or employment in the music, production or performing arts industry, whether that's on stage or behind-the-scenes.This is a course that combines performance, production and music.

If you are fascinated by the behind-the-scenes work in music, theatre, film, or events, this course is for you.
What will I study?
You will study stage management, music. lighting, sound, props, and set making, and how these elements work together. Additionally, you will learn about production arts planning, performance context, health and safety, and employment in the industry.
This second year delves deeper into senior roles in stage production, allowing you to specialise in your preferred area, including music. You will gain practical experience in all stages of show preparation and execution, working on college productions. You will also learn the essential skills for working within production.

Entry Requirements
What previous qualifications and experience will I need?
From School
- Five GCSEs at grades 9-4
- Preferably to include English and maths GCSEs at 9-4
From College
- Relevant level 2 qualification at merit grade or higher
- English and maths at level 2 or higher
