How will I be taught?

What modules are covered?

Students will study a range of specialist units, including body massage, aromatherapy massage techniques, Indian head massage, hot stone therapy, and pre-blended aromatherapy, alongside essential subjects such as anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is continuous throughout the course and includes a combination of:

Practical assessments: Observation of treatments performed on clients under assessor supervision.

Online tests: To evaluate theoretical understanding of anatomy, physiology, and treatment principles.

Assignments and portfolio evidence: Compilation of treatment records, written tasks, and case studies demonstrating competence.

What Next?

Upon successful completion of the VTCT Level 3 Beauty Therapy Diploma (Massage), learners will be fully qualified to work as a massage therapist, beauty therapist, or spa therapist in a wide range of settings, including spas, salons, cruise ships, and wellness centres. What previous qualifications and experience will I need?

Applicants should hold a relevant Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification (such as the VTCT Level 2 Beauty Specialist Diploma). In addition, learners are ideally expected to have: A minimum of Grade 4 in English At least three GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, preferably including Maths and Science A genuine interest in massage and holistic treatments Good communication and interpersonal skills A professional attitude and high standards of personal presentation and hygiene
