About the course

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to install electrotechnical systems and equipment in buildings, structures and the environment. The qualification is made up of knowledge units and performance units, covering a wide range of topics including health and safety, environmental technology systems and overseeing and organising the work environment.

Entry Requirements

What is the entry process?

To study this course, you must be at least 16 years old. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, you must have the potential to achieve all aspects of the qualification including the occupational evidence requirements of the performance units. In particular, learners should be able to demonstrate that they have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy required for the completion of the learning outcomes and the assessments. 

How will I be assessed?

The qualification is assessed by a mixture of on-screen exams, written assignments, and practical assessments.
