A qualification from the CMI is the passport to a career in management and leadership. This course consists of eight Management and Business units to provide you with a set of transferrable skills which you can use to help improve the performance of the organisation in which you work. Each module develops your knowledge and skills and helps you to apply the theory to the everyday challenges you face as a manager.
CMI membership and qualifications are increasingly acknowledged as a benchmark for professionalism. You must become a student member at the beginning of your course. As a student member of the CMI benefits will include online access to the CMI student resources.
Today CMI are the only chartered professional body dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership excellence. No wonder over 100,000 managers use their unique services on a daily basis. The college is proud to be an accredited CMI centre.

You will also be required to attend pre-arranged individual tutorials. The 35 weeks are not consecutive and college holidays are taken as indicated on the college website.
Once the Diploma is completed, further studies could be continued by progressing on to the CMI Level 6 qualification in Professional Management and Leadership Practice elsewhere.
An interview with a member of the Professional Studies teaching team is required, prior to, or at enrolment and this will be completed at one of the open evening events run by the college.
Continuous assessment is used throughout the course by a variety of written assignments, skills activities and workplace evidence. There is a well stocked library within the College and individual lecturers will advise on recommended texts.
This course is aimed at students who have completed a level 3 course: a Foundation Level Certificate, A Levels, National Diploma or equivalent. It is also suitable for those with a degree in a non-related subject area who would like to develop into a management role.
