Volunteering

We recommend exploring:

Volunteer North Hampshire

The main source for local volunteering opportunities. You may find something unexpected that gives you completely new experiences and workskills. Click here to find.

National Citizen Service

An adventure followed by a social action project! Many of our students take part in this annually to have fun, make friends and enhance their CV. Find out more here.

Fundraising at the College

All students are invited to organise and take part in fundraising – from Children in Need to Christmas Appeals in deprived areas.

Student Ambassador Scheme

Every year we recruit student volunteers to support the College with Open Events, social events and school visits. This is a fantastic experience for anyone looking to work in a people-facing career after college where a can-do attitude is the most important skill!

Digital Student Ambassador Scheme

Making the most of technology is something we’re passionate about. If you’re passionate about it too, our Digital Student Ambassador Scheme is available for you to help create digital resources, reviewing new apps and technology, and contributing to social media. You’ll get training to develop new skills and have something unique for your job or university applications.

Student Representatives

Want your voice heard? You could be representing the views of your class in our Faculty Forums while developing your listening, teamworking and presentation skills.

Student Governors

Our Student Governors represent all our students’ views among the highest decision making body in the College – the Corporation Board. This is a vital role that can prepare you for great opportunities at work or university!

Student Mentor Programme (with FELS)

Many of our students become mentors for students within the Foundation and Entry Level Studies department. This can involve offering friendship, support with college work and group trips. This opportunity will not only be personally rewarding, but help employers and universities understand more about what makes you want to help others.

Frimley Park Hospital Volunteering Scheme

Our Level 3 Health and Social Care students visit Frimley Park Hosptial to work directly with their staff, while picking up information about working for a healthcare employer and all the skills needed to start work with confidence.

Community Projects

Every year our students are involved in the community, from hosting children’s theatre shows to launching their own charity campaigns. See what previous students have achieved and imagine how much you could benefit from helping others!
