Your course is made up of everything you need to prepare you for university, a job or further studies, including:
We believe that by offering an exciting range of enrichment activities and a dedicated tutorial period, your whole experience at college will be that much more rewarding! You will also have the chance to get involved in fundraising activities and cross-college events throughout the year. We will let you know all about these options when you enrol and while you study.
You will be invited to events that give you the chance to plan your future by meeting those who work in industry or universities. Careers fairs, UCAS fairs and our own progression events are valuable ways of discovering your path into a career.
We will stretch your English and maths skills, whichever programme you choose. If you join us without a grade 4 or above in English Language or Mathematics, you will be working towards this as part of your programme.
Your study programme will develop your personal skills such as time keeping, decision making, communication, and motivation. It will also enhance your talents, confidence and potential to prepare you for future study and the workplace.
We work with lots of employers to ensure that you are learning the skills that will be needed for the workplace of the future. Part of your programme will include an industry placement. You will experience a real working environment and the employees within it. This will give you a better idea of what the workplace is really like and help you decide on where you want to work.
Employers are looking for future employees with experience and the ability to demonstrate a wide range of skills and knowledge that you will develop through your course, work experience and enrichment activities. Look at our T Shaped People graphic below to see some of the skills you will learn over the duration of your course.
