How will I be taught?
During this course you will be taught using a mixture of theory and practical lessons. All practical lessons will take place in our purpose-built workshops under the instruction of staff with extensive industry experience.
What modules are covered?
This qualification comprises of the following units:
- Health, safety and welfare in construction
- Principles of building construction
- Interpreting working drawings to set out masonry structures
- Producing thin joint masonry and masonry cladding
- Building solid walling, isolated and attached piers
- Construct cavity walling forming masonry structures

- Multiple-choice papers
- Practical assessments

Entry Requirements
What previous qualifications and experience will I need?
This course is for students progressing from the level 1 course.
From school:
- Four GCSEs at grades 3 and above (including English and maths)
From college:
- Relevant level 1 qualification at merit grade or higher (to include English and maths at level 1 or higher)
